The second dry white in the Valerie Hill Winery tasting series, this chardonnay was actually a bit skunky on the nose. Phillip, the owner, told me that this wine won a competition out of 328 wines. He also said that this particular grape was pulled two weeks early. I found it was a very sweet, citrusy wine, with hints of grass as well.
